What is the Social Enterprise Jobs Summit?
The Social Enterprise Jobs Summit is Australia’s first-ever conference dedicated to jobs-focused social enterprises. This two-day event will bring together social enterprises, government, philanthropy, and corporate partners to share lessons, foster collaboration, and strengthen the sector.
When and where is the summit being held?
The summit will take place on 11–12 June 2025 at Melbourne University.
Who is organising the summit?
The summit is co-hosted by White Box Enterprises and Social Enterprise Australia, in collaboration with key partners across the sector.
What is the goal of the summit?
The summit aims to unite jobs-focused social enterprises, share hard-earned lessons, address challenges, and amplify the sector’s collective voice. It also seeks to deepen connections between key stakeholders and position jobs-focused social enterprises as a vital part of Australia’s employment system.
Can I attend if I’m not part of a jobs-focused social enterprise?
Yes. The summit welcomes attendees from government, philanthropy, corporates, and other adjacent sectors interested in supporting or learning more about jobs-focused social enterprises.
Are employees of social enterprises or young people welcome to attend?
Absolutely. Employees and participants of social enterprises are encouraged to attend to share their lived experiences and engage in meaningful discussions about impact.
Will there be networking opportunities?
Yes. The summit will include dedicated networking sessions and interactive workshops to help attendees connect and collaborate.
Are there discounts or bursaries available?
Yes. We want all voices from all communities at the Social Enterprise Jobs Summit on 11-12 June in Melbourne.
We have set aside a small number of free tickets for those who live in: WA, NT, SA or QLD.
How do I get to Melbourne Connect?
Melbourne Connect is located at 700 Swanston St, Carlton VIC 3053.
It is easily accessible through a variety of transport options.
Public transport is the most convenient option.
You can catch connecting trams from Flinders Street or Melbourne Central stations (Trams: 1, 3, 3A, 5, 16, 64, 67 and 72).
You can plan your trip by using the PTV journey planner.
If you are coming by taxi, there is a taxi rank located on Grattan Street for pick up and drop off.
Parking is available at Cardigan House Parking (96 Grattan Street, Carlton) or University of Melbourne Parkville Campus (375 Cardigan Street, Carlton).
Will meals be provided?
Yes, your ticket includes catered lunches and morning and afternoon teas.
Is the event accessible?
The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know about any specific accessibility requirements when registering.
